 Speech and Language

 SPEECH and LANGUAGE THERAPISTS

Alicia Cubby is the speech and language therapist for Hand Led Therapy. She graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She is state licensed and ASHA certified in Speech-Language Pathology. For the past ten years she has worked in both public and private schools in Broward, Palm Beach, and Lake County. She has also worked in Head Start programs, pre-schools, and charter schools as well as in private therapy.

 

Kelly Jackson is a Speech-Language Pathologist who currently holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders from University of Central Florida and she holds a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University. She has worked with children for over 4 years. She has worked with children of all ages working as a teacher and a counselor. Throughout the years most of her experience came from working in the Osceola school system as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She has worked at Celebration Hospital with pediatrics and at Altamonte Hospital with geriatrics. Kelly has also learned many different techniques and strategies to assist with reading and writing skills. She applies speech and language techniques to address expressive writing, sequencing strategies with phonemic awareness activities to address spelling and language techniques to assist with thought organization. Comprehension strategies are used to increase deductive reasoning and inference skills.   

 

Blaire Harter is a Speech and Language Pathologist who graduated with a Master of Arts in Communicative Disorders from the University of Central Florida in 2006.  She is state licensed and ASHA certified in Speech Language Pathology.  She also has full competency to complete feeding evaluations and treatment sessions. Upon graduation, she worked in public schools, private therapy and preschools servicing Hillsborough, Pinellas and Polk County.  She moved to the Central Florida area in 2007 and began working full time in outpatient pediatric rehabilitation at Celebration Health in 2008.
